Research Areas
The program is structured around six research areas, coordinated by faculty members who share common interests and carry out joint research, publication, and teaching activities with their students. Students develop their final projects within one of these areas, which must be selected when applying to the admissions process and used as the primary knowledge framework for the development of the project.

The Academic Doctorate in Business Administration (CDAE) prepares researchers and faculty members to conduct cutting-edge research with scientific and social impact. Graduates are equipped to work nationally and internationally on research in various areas of Business Administration and may pursue careers at universities, research and consulting centers, and other academic and professional institutions.

Frequency and timetable:
Total workload:
The Doctore in Business Administration has a total workload of 600 hours for students who do not hold a Master’s degree and 240 hours for students who already hold a Master’s degree.
Attendance and timetables:
The compulsory, formative and elective subjects are taken bimonthly, with classes on one day of the week (between Monday and Friday), usually from 9am to 12.50pm or from 3pm to 6.50pm.
Students can choose the subjects they wish to take each semester, according to the program's guidelines and their needs. The choice of subjects to be taken each semester must be made in agreement with the leader of the LP to which they are linked and/or their advisor.
Certification Issued
At the end of the course, the graduate will receive the title of Doctor of Business Administration.
Investment and Scholarships
All students admitted through the selection process and officially enrolled in the program are granted a full tuition waiver, covering 100% of tuition fees. In addition, eligible students may receive financial support through CNPq. The continuation of the scholarship is contingent upon meeting all program requirements and complying with the applicable deadlines.
Teaching Assistant Scholarships
Doctoral applicants may apply for a TA scholarship, worth up to BRL 8,000, which provides opportunities to participate in teaching and research activities in FGV EAESP’s programs. Selection process
Registration on the website and submission of documents, which will be analyzed by an examining board. The documents will include a research project aligned with the interests of the LP for which the candidate wishes to apply. Presentation of the results of one of the tests: ANPAD, GMAT or GRE.
Candidates approved in the first phase will be interviewed remotely by an examining board made up of professors from the Line of Research.
Successful applicants are invited to participate in the New Student Orientation, where they receive guidance on the enrollment process. Enrollment must be completed in accordance with the schedule and deadlines established in the admissions call.
