Rafael Alcadipani da Silveira

Full Professor at EAESP-FGV and full associate at the Brazilian Forum on Public Security. Ph.D. from the Manchester Business School. He is currently deputy head of the Department of General Administration and Human Resources at FGV-EAESP and a member of the Scientific Committee of the Organizational Studies Division of Anpad. He received several academic honors, having been a Honored Professor at the FGV-EAESP graduation course, nominated for best article awards in national and international congresses such as the Enanpad and the Academy of Management Meeting, besides having articles as the most read ones in international journals such as the Organization and Organization Research Methods (9th journal in impact factor in JCR). He is the Leader of the Research Line in Organizational Studies of EAESP-FGV. He was the visiting professor at Istanbul Bigli University, visiting researcher at the Manchester Business School, University of Gothenburg and Boston College. He is the associate editor of the journal Qualitative Research in Organizations and Management and reviewer of renowned national and international journals. He was a member of the scientific committee of the Organizational Studies Division of ANPAD (2009-11), a former member of the scientific committee of the CMS division of the Academy of Management and was vice president of the first management of the Brazilian Society of Organizational Studies. He is a member of the editorial board of prominent international journals such as Organization and Management Learning. CNPE's representative, CAPES and FAPESP. He was part of the CAPES evaluation committee for the Qualis-journals of the Administration area for the 2010-2012 triennium and also participated in the triennial evaluation. He was head of the Department of General Administration and Human Resources of EAESP-FGV and a coordinator of the Research Initiation Program at the same institution. The results of his research are being published in prominent international journals such as Organization Research Methods, Human Relations, Organization, Journal of Management Studies, Academy of Management Learning & Education, and Gender Work and Organization. Furthermore, he frequently joins national press reviews in institutions such as Folha de São Paulo, Rede Globo and Globonews, as well as international media such as the BBC, The Wall Street Journal and the Financial Times. His research interests are practices and organizations, ethnography, and post-structuralist perspectives in organizational analysis. His research focus today are police organizations. He coordinated research projects funded by CNPq and FAPESP. He is frequently invited to lecture and speak at the Civil Police Academy of São Paulo, at the Military Police of the State of São Paulo and is part of the CIRN - Criminal Investigation Research Network of the University of South Wales, a network of professors, researchers, experts and senior police officers from different countries in Europe and the United States, who seek to share knowledge among academics and practitioners about investigating crimes, especially homicides and serious crimes.
