Delane has an Agronomic Engineering degree from the Federal University of Lavras (1989), Master in Business Administration (Organizations) from FGV EAESP (1997), with an exchange from Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien (Austria) and a Ph.D. in Business Administration (Marketing) from FGV EAESP (2003), with the sandwich program (CAPES) at the Marshall School of Business, University of Southern California (USA). He was a research fellow at the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD). He is an associate professor at FGV EAESP, where he was the leader of the Marketing research group for the master's / doctorate program between 2014 and 2017 and head of the Marketing department between 2016 and 2019. He is currently the coordinator of CEDEA (Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning) and a member of the Scientific Marketing Committee of ANPAD. His research interests are cognition and emotion in consumer behavior and pricing. His research has been published in journals such as Psychology & Marketing, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Marketing Management, Industrial Marketing Management, and Academy of Marketing Science Review.
