Biografia

João Albino-Pimentel is a scholar specializing in global and nonmarket strategy. He is a Visiting Professor of Strategy at FGV-EAESP and Assistant Professor of International Business at the Darla Moore School of Business, University of South Carolina. His research has been published in leading academic journals, including the Journal of International Business Studies, Strategic Management Journal, Research Policy, and Global Strategy Journal. He is also a co-author of Strategor, the best-selling strategy textbook in the French-speaking world. João’s contributions to research, teaching, and service have been recognized with multiple awards, including the Academy of Management IM Division FIU Business Emerging Scholar Award (2023) and Poets & Quants' 50 Best Undergraduate Professors (2023). João serves on the editorial review boards of top journals such as the Journal of International Business Studies, Strategic Management Journal, Journal of International Business Policy, Business & Society, and Multinational Business Review. Before his current roles, he was an Assistant Professor of Strategy and International Business at Copenhagen Business School and a Research Scholar at the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota. He holds degrees in Economics and Management from the University of São Paulo (Brazil) and the University of Grenoble Alpes (France). He earned his Ph.D. in Strategic Management from HEC Paris.
