Who the course is for

Professionals with at least 5 years' experience in the health sector (doctors, nurses, health insurance operators, etc.) or management training who hold or aim to hold a leadership position and are interested in an innovative approach to the training process.

What to expect

You will build on applied knowledge from the Center for Studies in Health Planning and Management (FGVsaúde) and will be able to complete credits at the FGV EAESP winter school, via SNOC (Small Network Online Course) GNAM (Global Network for Advanced Management).

Program structure

The MPGC allows students to build a personalized academic path without losing the identity of a professional master's degree. The program has a total workload of 450 hours (30 credits) and combines common subjects, subjects from the chosen line of research and the development of an Applied Work.

Course structure

The program allows each student to build their own path, without compromising the characteristics of a professional master's program.

The MPGC consists of 450 hours (30 credits), of which 120 hours (8 credits) are common subjects. It is compulsory for students to take Evidence-Based Management, offered at SNOC, and Trends for Competitiveness, in a face-to-face format.

Students must take a further 75 hours (5 credits) of common subjects and can choose from Negotiation and Communication, Leadership and Change Management, Anti-Corruption Governance and Compliance and Sustainability and Innovation. In addition to these five options, students can take any master's course offered at FGV EAESP in the MPGI, MPA, MPGPP, CMCD, School of Quantitative Methods, Winter School and GNAM SNOC programs to complete the 75 hours (5 credits) of common subjects.

210 hours (14 credits) have been allocated to the specific subjects of each line of research. Within these hours, 60 hours are allocated to Applied Work Seminar (AT) courses. Students also have the flexibility of completing up to 30 hours (2 credits) from the pool of elective courses offered by the MPGC or other FGV EAESP programs.

The student must also develop an Applied Paper (TA) in the form of a scientific article supervised by one of the Program's professors, equivalent to 90 hours (6 credits). This structure is described in the figure below:

The educational path is unique, with subjects experienced in three dimensions (Global, Decisional, Organizational) and activities at the FGVsaúde Study Center, where students can collaborate and develop guided Applied Work (AT).

The MPGC offers a unique training path. The program was developed by professors with cutting-edge knowledge in the field, companies and executives who are partners of FGVsaúde (Center of Excellence in Health Management), and with the collaboration of FGV's Center for the Development of Teaching and Learning (CEDEA) to bring the latest methodologies in educational program design and innovative teaching. The result is a program that is unique in its conception and design, where the subjects are experienced in 3 Uses that are further broken up by the Center's seminar and meeting activities.

Frequência e horários

As aulas do mestrado profissional FGV são presenciais quinzenais às sextas-feiras (14h às 19h30) e sábados (8h às 17h)  e também quinzenais semanais no formato SNOC (Small Network Online Course) das 20h às 21h30. 

Devido aos feriados, é possível que o calendário não respeite o intervalo de 15 dias entre as aulas. 

As datas de reposição para as faltas dos professores estão sempre previstas no Calendário de Aulas, o que também pode acarretar em aulas semanais.

The MPGC has two types of scholarship, one for social demand and the other with refundable funding.

The returnable/refundable scholarship is a benefit granted in the form of funding for tuition fees, upon analysis of an application submitted to the School's Scholarship Committee. The financial resources for the Refundable Scholarship come from the Getulio Vargas Foundation Scholarship Fund (Ordinance No. 17/2002).

The criteria for awarding the scholarship are based on an analysis of: family income (the lower the income, the higher the percentage approved); assets and liquidity, assessed in conjunction with income; academic record; financial availability each semester; number of applications and percentages requested.

Scholarships are renewed every six months according to certain criteria described in the detailed information contained in the Instructions for Applying for Scholarships.

For postgraduate students, repayment will begin six months after the scheduled completion date of the course, regardless of whether or not the course is completed.

The obligation to repay, as set out above, prevails even if the beneficiary drops out, withdraws or has the course terminated by jubilation, in accordance with the Course regulations, in which case the period of 90 (ninety) days begins to run from any of these events.

FGV EAESP's MPGC has two types of scholarship, one for social demand aimed at expanding access to socially minoritized groups, and the other with refundable financing, where up to 70% of the value of the Program is financed to be refunded upon completion of the master's degree.

Note According to the schedule available in the Notice, scholarship applications for the 2026 Selection Process will be accepted until 19/12/2025.

Social Demand Grant (non-refundable)

This type of scholarship is designed to broaden access to executive postgraduate studies for minority groups in society, whether for economic, racial or gender reasons, promoting diversity and inclusion in the student body of professional master's degree courses. The scholarships cover up to 80% of the course fee and must be applied for exclusively by students who have passed the MPGC selection process.

The criteria for awarding the scholarship are based on socio-economic analysis and/or valuing diversity and inclusion in its multiple dimensions and intersections, considering race (black, brown or indigenous candidates); gender; sexuality (self-declared members of the LGBTQIAP+ community); people with disabilities.

  • Have an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Business Administration or a similar Management course, such as Economics, Accounting, Foreign Trade or specialization programs in Administration.
  • Have at least 3 years' experience in Marketing.
  • Have an excellent level of reading and understanding of English texts.

Registration fee: R$ 100.00.

Documentation:

The documentation submitted in the application will be evaluated by a committee appointed by the Study Center responsible for the line of research.

Interview:

If you pass the first stage, you will be invited to an interview, which can take place in person or via Skype.

Flexible format

Several options of elective and compulsory courses in the SNOC (Small Network Online Course) model. There are eight weekends per semester with face-to-face meetings and two weekends with meetings in the SNOC model (online).

Options for complementary subjects
