Samuel de Mello Pinto

Bachelor's degree in Forest Engineering and licensed in Agricultural Sciences from the University of São Paulo (ESALQ-USP). Completed a study exchange at the École Nationale Supérieure Agronomique de Toulouse (AgroToulouse) in the field of Environmental Quality and Resource Management. Currently pursuing a postgraduate degree in Project Management from the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV). Since 2020, has been a researcher at the Center for Sustainability Studies at FGV (FGVces) in the Sustainability in Value Chains program. Has worked on applied research projects in collaboration with farmer organizations, collectives, and civil society, generating recommendations to improve public policies on topics such as climate change adaptation, the inclusion of family farming in the food chain, agroecology, and urban agriculture. Previously, interned as a researcher at the Institute for Ecological Research (IPÊ) and the Institute for Forest Research and Studies (IPEF).
