Maria Letícia de Alvarenga Carvalho

Graduated in Social Sciences from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), with a specialization in Urban Agriculture and Food Sustainability from the Pontifical Catholic University of Paraná (PUCPR). She has nearly 15 years of academic and professional experience in the socio-environmental field, with a focus on topics such as socio-technical disasters, environmental justice, and traditional peoples and communities. She worked as a technical advisor for individuals affected by the Fundão dam collapse in Mariana (MG) through Cáritas Brasileira – Regional Minas Gerais. Currently part of the Local Development Program (DL) at the Center for Sustainability Studies at FGV (FGVces).
