José Agnello Alves Dias de Andrade

Anthropologist with extensive experience as a social sciences researcher, having participated in projects at various laboratories and research centers, utilizing diverse methodologies, themes, and objectives. He is skilled in quantitative, qualitative, documentary, and field research, with a particular emphasis on ethnographic methods, qualitative data analysis, and the development of collaborative projects through participatory methodologies. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences (2008), and later completed a Master's degree (2012) and a PhD (2018) at the University of São Paulo, specializing in rural and urban anthropology, as well as Indigenous ethnology. Since 2019, he has been working at FGVces, focusing on disaster risk management, climate change adaptation, socio-environmental impact analysis, nature’s contributions to people, ecosystem services, and the implementation of nature-based solutions.
