Fernanda Cassab Carreira

Fernanda Carreira is the deputy coordinator of the Center for Sustainability Studies (FGVces) and a faculty member in Sustainability and Organization Studies at the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV EAESP), where she earned her PhD, master’s, and undergraduate degrees. Her research focuses on sustainability education, emphasizing imaginative pedagogical approaches. She received the PRME Faculty Teaching Award in 2024 for her course Sustainable Leadership: The Rainforest Perspective and a gold medal at the 2022 QS-Wharton Reimagine Education Awards for Integrated Education for Sustainability. Fernanda serves on the Advisory Board of the Network for Business Sustainability (NBS). Prior to her academic career, she worked as a consultant at PwC in the Strategy and Organization area and at Significa, where she developed sustainability policies, private social investment strategies, and corporate social responsibility initiatives. Additionally, she has contributed to NGOs such as Associação Prato Cheio and Associação Franquia Solidária.
