Carolina Macedo

Master's degree in Biodiversity Management and Conservation from the University of San Pablo (Sab Pablo - Spain). Bachelor in Oceanography from University of Vale of Itajaí (UNIVALI). She has worked at the FGV Sustainability Studies Center (FGVces) for more than 5 years as a researcher in the Sustainability in Value Chains program, which brings together projects aimed at promoting fair relationships and more sustainable processes in production chains, especially in management strategies in traditional communities (fishermen and farmers) and informal educational strategies (children, young people, adults), focusing on strengthening local production and improving quality of life aimed at economic, social and environmental sustainability and improving public policies, and educational strategies informal activities for young people, with a focus. She was a researcher in the impacts and valuation of socioeconomic damages caused in municipalities and communities affected by the collapse of ore dams and oil pipelines and in surveys of municipal social, economic and environmental participatory indicators.
