Renato José de Souza

Renato José de Souza is a professor at the Department of Business Administration and Human Resources at FGV EAESP and Coordinator of the MBA in Strategic Management of Human Resources at FGV. He is an associate researcher at the Center for Studies on Organizations and People (NEOP) at FGV EAESP. He holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from UFMG, a Master's in Production Engineering from UFSC and a PhD in Business Administration from FGV EAESP. He has research interests in the themes of theory and practice of leadership, people management, behavior and organizational change, and strategic management of human resources. He served for more than 25 years as Senior Executive of Human Resources in organizations in Brazil, United Kingdom and in the Americas Region, in the segments of Consumer Goods, Financial Services and Education, focusing on the areas of organizational and people development, talent acquisition, training and development, leadership and diversity, equity and inclusion. As a Human Resources strategic partner, he led change processes, including mergers, acquisitions and spin-offs, with strategic thinking in the design of solutions that resulted in the evolution of organizational skills, talent and leadership development, and improvements in organizational and work processes.
