Nelson Marconi

He holds a degree in economics from PUC-SP and a master's and doctorate degree in economics from FGV-SP, and has a sandwich at MIT. He is an adjunct professor of graduation, master's and academic doctorate and master's degrees in the Public Administration and Government course, at FGV-SP, belonging to the permanent teaching nucleus in both programs. He is also an associate professor (licenced) in Economics at PUC-SP. He is Coordinator of the Forum of Economy at FGV and CND - Center for Studies of New Development, linked to EAESP-FGV. He was the coordinator of the graduation course in economics at EESP-FGV between 2010 and 2013, president of the Brazilian Keynesian Association between 2015 and 2017, member of the Advisory Committee of ENADE between 2012 and 2016 in the area of Economic Sciences and in the IPEA scholarship between 2011 and 2013. He is also an external collaborator of the International Labor Organization. He has experience and develops research in the areas of Economics and Public Management, with emphasis on Macroeconomics of Development, Economic Development Theory and Economy of the Public Sector, working mainly on the following topics: economic development strategies, development macroeconomics, macroeconomic policies and productive structure, deindustrialization, the relationship between exchange rate and economic growth, fiscal policy and public management, in this case with emphasis on public finances, human resources policies, wages and employment in the public sector. His academic publications include articles in national and international journals, books (as an author or organizer), book chapters, and discussion papers.
