Nelson Lerner Barth

Graduated in Electrical Engineering from the University of São Paulo (1980), with a Master's Degree in Business Administration from the São Paulo Business School of the Getulio Vargas Foundation (2002) and a Doctorate in Business Administration from the School of Business Administration of São Paulo at the Getulio Vargas Foundation (2006). Since 2002, he has been a professor at the School of Business Administration in São Paulo, at the Getulio Vargas Foundation, where he teaches courses related to Quantitative Methods and Statistics. He actively contributes to the administration of the School of Business Administration in São Paulo, at the Getulio Vargas Foundation. He is currently the Coordinator of the Graduation Program in Business Administration. He teaches Continuing Education courses through FGV - Getulio Vargas Foundation, including open courses ("Statistical Models for Quantitative Marketing") and in-company courses (related to Quantitative Methods). He teaches Quantitative Methods courses in the Master's degree courses (Logistics and Supply Chain, Retail) and in the Professional Master's Degree from FGV-EAESP. He also offers training in companies for Structuring Problems. He has experience in the area of Computer Science, with emphasis on process automation (he acted as director and consultant of Pragmática Engenheiros Consultores Associados Serviços e Comércio Ltda. for 18 years). He is currently a consultant at Má Vlast Consultores Associados Ltda., where he offers consultancy in the application of Statistical Models in Marketing and Administration problems. In the areas of teaching and consulting, he mainly works on the following topics: application of statistical techniques for solving management problems, multivariate statistical models applied to quantitative marketing, statistical forecasting models, quality of automatic telephone answering services in call centers, automation of administrative processes and trouble-structuring.
