He holds a degree in Social Sciences and a Master's in Sociology from the University of São Paulo (USP). He is a Master of Arts and Sociology PhD Candidate from The New School for Social Research. He currently works as a teacher and diversity coordinator at FGV EAESP. His areas of activity and interest are urban sociology, sociology of culture, political sociology, race relations, Brazilian social thought and biography.
