Marc Eric Barda Picavet

Biografia

Marc Picavet is a postdoctoral researcher at Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in Australia and holds a PhD in Public Administration from FGV EAESP (2023), a Master's in Global Political Economy from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and a BA in Economics from Insper, Brazil. He is currently working on projects funded by IBM and the Queensland State Government focusing on digital transformation in the public sector, artificial intelligence and strategic foresight. His research focuses on public sector innovation, sustainability, and urban governance. Marc has contributed to several projects funded by FAPESP, Belmont Forum and FGV, addressing sustainability, local governments and cities. His work has been published in international journals such as Public Administration Review, Habitat International, Urban Governance, and Journal of Cleaner Production. He has also authored articles on Artificial Intelligence government strategies for outlets such as IBM Centre for The Business of Government and Brookings. His research has been cited numerous times, and he has presented at several international conferences, including the International Research Society for Public Management conference and the Public Management Research conference. He has thirteen years of international experience, including consultancy in Hong Kong and Brazil, and research roles in Israel, Brazil and Australia. Previously, Marc worked as a consultant focused on innovation in Brazil and Hong Kong.
