Claudia Emiko Yoshinaga
Claudia Yoshinaga is an Assistant Professor of Finance at the School of Business Administration at Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV EAESP). She received her B.A., M.Sc. and D.Sc. in Business from the University of Sao Paulo in 2002, 2004 and 2009, respectively. She was a visiting scholar at Columbia Business School (CBS) during the academic year of 2014-2015. She was an Assistant Professor at FECAP Business School from 2012 to 2018. She also taught at MBA courses at Fundação Instituto de Pesquisas Contábeis, Atuariais e Financeiras (FIPECAFI), at Fundação Instituto de Administração (FIA) and at Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie. She also has engaged in consulting projects that involve valuation, corporate governance, mutual funds, business plans' elaboration and financial modeling.
She participated in Corporate Governance Research Initiatives with Companies' Circle Round Table, a joint group from IFC and OECD with focus on Latin America.
Her research interests include behavioral finance and corporate finance. She is an ad-hoc reviewer for several journals in finance. She won some awards for teaching excellence in undergraduate and graduate courses. She has also received an honorable mention at the Young Talent in Finance Prize awarded by IBEF-SP and KPMG. She was invited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan to compose the Young Nikkei Leaders group that participated in the events of the Centennial of the Japanese Immigration to Brazil in 2008.
She has taught courses in Behavioral Finance, Corporate Finance, Investments, Valuation and M&A in the undergraduate and M.Sc. programs. She has received financial grants and scholarships from FGV, CNPq, and Fapesp.
