An associated researcher at the Center for Microfinance and Financial Inclusion (CEMIF) at Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV) and a doctoral candidate in Public Administration at the Department of Government and Civil Society at FGV EAESP. He holds undergraduate degrees in Accounting and Business Administration, a specialization in Applied Statistics, and a Master’s in Business Administration with an emphasis on Information Systems from FGV EAESP. He previously served as a visiting researcher at the Department of Digital Development at the University of Manchester.
His research focuses on the intersection of digital technologies, the common good, and social development, examining technological infrastructures, blockchain, and artificial intelligence algorithms. Employing qualitative methodologies, his work delves into the sociopolitical dynamics that emerge from digital transformation. His publications have appeared in high-impact journals, such as MIS Quarterly (MISQ, ABS4*) and Information Systems Journal (ISJ, ABS4), as well as in Sustainability Science, and have been presented at leading international Information Systems conferences (ICIS, ECIS, AMCIS, EGOS, AOM).
He serves as a reviewer for Information Technology for Development and as a faculty advisor for the MBA in Project Management at USP/ESALQ (PECEGE). Prior to his academic career, he accumulated over a decade of professional experience in IT project management and financial auditing. In recent years, he has contributed to initiatives fostering innovation among micro and small enterprises, promoting the adoption of emerging technologies and sustainable growth strategies.
