Biografia

Mariana Nicolletti holds a PhD in Public Administration and Government from FGV EAESP and a master's degree in Social Psychology from USP. She is a professor at FGV EAESP and leads the research agenda on climate change adaptation and disaster risk management at the Center for Sustainability Studies of FGV (FGVces). She is also a member of the Technical Chamber on Climate Change Adaptation and Green Infrastructure of the Brazilian Forum on Climate Change (FBMC) and the Expert Peer Review Group of the Race to Zero campaign. Before joining the FGVces team, she worked as a Senior Research Manager at C40 Cities, where she led climate mitigation research projects related to the transition to clean energy, building retrofits, and 15-minute cities. She also served as the Regional Low Carbon and Resilience Manager at ICLEI South America and, prior to that, spent ten years leading mitigation and adaptation projects in applied research at FGVces in collaboration with national and local governments, as well as large companies and civil society organizations in Brazil. Her research focuses include Nature-Based Solutions (NbS), social learning, and climate justice.
