João Carlos Douat

He holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the Catholic University of Administration and Economics (1977), a degree in Chemical Engineering from the Federal University of Paraná (1977), an MBA in International Finance from NYU Stern Scool of Business (1985) and a PhD in Business Administration from the Getulio Vargas Foundation - SP (1994). He is dedicated to the study of financial risk management, with emphasis on credit risk. His interest in research and training has been in the identification, measurement and administration of credit risk, having used for this purpose the concepts of the modern theory of Portfolios. He also develops the themes of Corporate Finance. He has performed consulting and training for companies such as Banco Itaú, Banco Santander, Banco Fibra, the Votorantim Group, Volvo Heavy Equipment, the Ipiranga Group, Volkswagen Financial Services, Ford Financial Services, BCN, SERASA etc. He was responsible for the Board of the Credit Coordination of Banco Itaú and member of the Credit Committee of FEBRABAN. He was the Coordinator of the Center for Bank Excellence and Head of the Accounting, Finance and Control Department of EAESP. He was the Coordinator of Graduation Programs at FGV EAESP. He is a Member of the Editorial Board of the Technology Credit Magazine - SERASA and a Member of the Editorial Board of the Business Magazine - FURB. He is currently Coordinator of the Institute of Finance (FGV EAESP) and Academic Coordinator of Executive Education (FGV EAESP).
