Thiago Dalmédico Gil
Bio
Thiago Gil is a Professor of Finance at Fundação Getulio Vargas’ São Paulo School of Business Administration (FGV EAESP), where he teaches across undergraduate, graduate, and executive education programs. He has over 15 years of experience in financial markets, having held executive roles in asset management and institutional investing, with a focus on private credit, risk management, investments, and agribusiness.
He holds a PhD in Business Administration with a specialization in Finance from FGV EAESP, a Master’s degree in Economics from FGV EESP, and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Campinas (Unicamp). He also holds MBAs in Finance and Data Science.
He is currently a postdoctoral researcher in Statistics at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), focusing on the modeling of extreme events and climate-related and financial risks. His research interests include financial risk, agribusiness, climate finance, and asset pricing.
