While the largest portion of the Brazilian population waits their turn in line to get care and occupy any available bed in case of hospitalization in the public healthcare system, privileged patients enjoy hospital beds considered luxury. What country of contrast is this?

Access to health is a basic necessity for the maintenance of life and the well-being of individuals. The absence of health decreases or hinders an individual's quality of life. Understanding the importance of healthy living for every citizen, intending to problematize luxury in health. What is really necessary or superfluous in the restoration of an individual's health? Are there promising possibilities of investments in hospitals with high-end facilities and high standard care in Brazil? Is this a market trend? Who are these enterprises intended for? Who actually has access to luxury? These and other issues will be exposed during the debates at FGV, instigating reflections on health and potential investments in the sector.
