Professional Master in Management and Public Policy connects students with international universities

Internationalization is not just a concept in the Professional Master's Degree in Management and Public Policy (MPGPP) of the São Paulo School of Business Administration (FGV EAESP); it is a consolidated practice. Recognized as one of the most innovative and competitive programs in Latin America, the MPGPP offers its more than 400 students a wide range of global experiences, including double degree programs, exchange programs, academic partnerships and participation in events of international relevance.
Double degree: expanding academic horizons
One of the main advantages of the MPGPP is its partnership with world-renowned institutions, which makes it possible to obtain a double degree. Options include Università Bocconi (Italy), the School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) at Columbia University (USA) and the Institute of Development Studies (IDS) at the University of Sussex (UK).
In 2024, interest in these opportunities grew significantly, with 6 applicants to IDS, 5 to Columbia, and 5 to Bocconi. Each institution offers unique areas of specialization, such as the Master of Arts in Gender and Development (IDS), Master of Arts in Power, Participation, and Social Change (IDS), Master of Arts in Politics and Public Policy Analysis (Bocconi), and Master of Arts in International Affairs (SIPA – Columbia). This diversity allows students to choose paths that align with their interests and contemporary demands.
“Internationalization is a beneficial process for everyone involved. Our program is enriched by the exchange of experiences, which includes interaction with diverse methodologies and curricula. In addition, students from participating institutions have the opportunity to connect with different realities and experiences, broadening their global perspective. It is a dynamic in which everyone collaborates to build new knowledge,” highlights the program coordinator, Professor Marco Antonio Carvalho Teixeira.
New agreements strengthen international reach
In addition, MPGPP continues to expand its partnerships and is in negotiations with prominent institutions:
- Fudan University (China): Offers a program that combines global vision, technical knowledge and practical skills to train analysts, researchers and leaders in the public and private sectors.
- Georgetown University (USA): The Master of Public Policy (MPP) at the McCourt School, located in Washington, DC, equips students with advanced analytical skills and connects them to a network of policymakers.
- University of Minho (Portugal): Focuses on Public Management, Public Policies and Local Government, training professionals prepared to identify problems and propose effective solutions.
- Hertie School (Germany): One of Europe's leading public policy institutions, located in Berlin, it combines excellent academic training with practical opportunities, immersing students in contemporary global issues and connecting them to impactful international networks.
These partnerships consolidate MPGPP's position as a reference in teaching and research in public policies, both in Brazil and abroad.
International events: learning beyond the classroom
MPGPP students also participate in global events that promote discussions on current topics and expand their international connections:
- Council on Business & Society (CoBS): A global alliance that integrates business schools and promotes sustainable business practices.
- Global Logistics Forum: In 2024, explored the future of trade and logistics innovation in Saudi Arabia, connecting global leaders.
- Berlin Dialogue: Forum that brings together young global leaders and decision-makers, with FGV EAESP students being the first Brazilians to participate in the Young Voices program.
- Global Public Policy Network (GPPN): International network that brings together the 8 main public policy schools to promote high-level exchanges, collaboration and networking.
