Logistics Costs in Brazil - An Innovative Methodology
What are the real logistics costs for Brazilian companies?
FGV EAESP, through the GVcelog-Center of Excellence in Logistics and Supply Chain, will be carrying out a survey on Logistics Costs, from a different perspective, in terms of methodology to obtain more realistic data on the subject.
The general aim of the research is to develop and apply a methodology, completely innovative in relation to existing ones, to quantify and detail the logistics costs of Brazilian companies. In addition to an initial application of the methodology, the project also includes the creation of procedures and routines for annual replications of the surveys.
It will also enable the creation of an important database with immense capacity for further processing, to meet the country's most diverse needs in the area of costs associated with logistics.
Based on this knowledge, it will be possible to influence the formulation of public policies and business strategies. FGV will disseminate the results to the responsible public bodies and trade associations and hold events to stimulate debate on how to promote a reduction in Brazil's logistics costs. In the private sphere, work will be done with the commercial and specialized media to publicize the results and advise companies on logistics strategies that can reduce their operating costs. The hope is that this will create a positive cycle of monitoring, action and improvement that will contribute in the long term to reducing this important bottleneck in the Brazilian economy.
Qual o real custo logístico das empresas brasileiras?
A FGV EAESP, por meio do GVcelog-Centro de Excelência em Logística e Supply Chain, realizará uma pesquisa sobre Custos Logísticos, sob uma visão diferenciada, no que diz respeito a metodologia para se obter dados mais realistas a respeito do tema.
O objetivo geral da pesquisa é o desenvolvimento e a aplicação de uma metodologia, completamente inovadora em relação às existentes, para quantificação e detalhamento dos custos logísticos das empresas brasileiras. Além de uma primeira aplicação da metodologia, o projeto contempla também a criação de procedimentos e rotinas para replicações anuais dos levantamentos.
Permitirá, também, a constituição de uma importante base de dados com imensa capacidade de processamentos complementares, para atender às mais diversas necessidades do país na área de custos associados à logística.
Com base nesse conhecimento será possível influenciar na formulação de políticas públicas e estratégias empresariais. A FGV irá divulgar os resultados junto aos órgãos públicos responsáveis e à entidades de classe e realizar eventos para estimular debate sobre como promover a redução do custo logístico brasileiro. No âmbito privado, será feito um trabalho junto à mídia comercial e especializada para divulgar os resultados e orientar empresas sobre estratégias logísticas que podem reduzir seu custo operacional. Espera-se com isso criar um ciclo positivo de monitoramento, ações e melhoria que venha no longo prazo contribuir para a redução desse importante gargalo da economia brasileira.
