Latin American Observatory of Technology and Government

Studies on the Digital Agenda, Smart Cities, e-Government and Multilateral Agencies

Various actors in society generate knowledge about technology and government. At the same time, these actors are consumers of knowledge in the course of their activities. The formation of the CEAPG & Telefónica Latin American Observatory on Technology and Government has created a repository and a mechanism for interaction between actors interested in the subject. This partnership has led to the development of studies on the use of Technology and Government in the following four areas: Digital Agenda, Smart Cities, e-Government and Multilateral Agencies.

The Observatory's action plan consists of four phases:

  1. planning and setting up the observatory
  2. carrying out studies
  3. disseminating the results
  4. seminar.

 

As described in the Action Plan, the following results will be produced throughout the four stages:

  • Individual interim reports on the four research themes;
  • Final individual technical report on the four research themes;
  • Production of a publishable summary of the four research themes;
  • Observatory website with experience reports, quick tips for public managers in reports or short videos;
  • Final seminar at FGV to present the results of the research;
  • Use of the material for academic production.

Diversos atores da sociedade geram conhecimento sobre Tecnologia e Governo. Ao mesmo tempo, esses atores são consumidores de conhecimento no exercício das suas atividades. Com a formação do Observatório Latino-Americano CEAPG & Telefónica de Tecnologia e Governo criou-se um repositório e um mecanismo de interação entre os atores interessados no assunto. A partir do estabelecimento dessa parceria foram desenvolvidos estudos no uso de Tecnologia e Governo nos quatro temas a seguir: Agenda Digital, Smart Cities, Governo Eletrônico e Agências Multilaterais.

 O plano de ação do Observatório é composto de quatro fases:

  1. planejamento e instalação do observatório
  2. realização dos estudos
  3. disseminação dos resultados
  4. seminário.

 

Conforme descrito no Plano de ação, ao longo das quatro etapas serão produzidos os seguintes resultados:

  • Relatórios intermediários individuais sobre os quatro temas de pesquisa;
  • Relatório técnico final individual sobre os quatro temas de pesquisa;
  • Produção de um resumo publicável envolvendo os quatro temas de pesquisa;
  • Site do Observatório com relatos das experiências, dicas rápidas para gestores públicos em relatório ou vídeos de curta duração;
  • Seminário Final na FGV para apresentar os resultados da pesquisa;
  • Utilização do material para produção acadêmica.
