The aim is to discuss trends in public management with the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). The course addresses some trends (and debates about them) in the adoption, use and diffusion of information and communication technologies in public management, in the provision of services to citizens and in society as a whole. The aim is to identify research gaps and current, relevant topics that could possibly be the subject of research or complement other ongoing research. We will also have workshops on writing articles on Digital Government. The course includes the discussion of texts on the topics covered, presentations focused on practical cases and the preparation of an empirical paper. For the discussions, interactions in the practical presentations and the writing of the empirical work, students will have to prepare beforehand by reading the proposed texts.
