In recent years there has been a rapprochement between economists and political scientists who have come to share substantive interests and methodological approaches. In the first part of the course, students should learn the basic tools that constitute economics' contribution to comparative political science, i.e. based on comparisons between countries, states, municipalities, etc. Next, students should begin to apply these tools to the analysis of the production of public policies as a result of political conflicts.
