The course will develop an in-depth understanding of Transformative Consumer Research (TCR) - a research program that studies individual and collective well-being as a function of consumption. The course will focus on the transformation of consumer behavior and will discuss conceptual aspects and methodological applications of TCR. The spectrum of TCR's work is extensive, including: discrimination and injustice, materialism, nutrition, poverty, addictions, sexually transmitted diseases, financial vulnerability, humanitarian crises, contemporary slavery, giving and volunteering, etc. Students will be able to choose the theme that interests them most
