Research line: Organizational Studies

The course addresses the debate about the existence and definition of the Anthropocene and how this debate moves from the field of exact sciences to that of social sciences and, consequently, to organizational studies. The main objective of the course is to present what has been discussed in the field of organizational studies, indicating the challenges and dilemmas that surround contemporary organizations in the face of the climate crisis resulting from human actions on the planet. We will discuss everything from the ways of organizing in the Anthropocene to more radical ontological and epistemological positions that point to the end of Western civilization and organizations as we know them.
