The subject aims to enable students to develop Applied Work (AW) projects, which involves: (i) defining the general research topic, and how to look for suitable sources of bibliographical references for the project; (ii) drawing up a relevant and feasible research question for the TA deadline; (iii) choosing the research method, data collection and analysis technique; (iv) drawing up a timetable for the development of the TA. It is hoped that, by the end of the course, students will have high-quality projects, which will then be refined and finalized with the assigned monographic supervisor.
