FGV professor receives international award for innovation in global-level management education

Maria Tereza Leme Fleury, full professor at the School of Business Administration of São Paulo (FGV EAESP), has been selected as an exceptional educator and received the AmorePacific Outstanding Educator Award from the IM Division.

The award ceremony took place on August 7th in Boston, USA, and recognized the former director of FGV EAESP for her continuous excellence and innovation in international management education at all levels and within a global context.

The award is annually distributed by the Academy of Management (AoM), considered the leading professional association for management and organization research and studies. Established in 1936, AoM gathers a community of over 18,000 members and spans across more than 120 countries. In this edition, the committee that awarded Professor Maria Tereza included Catherine Xin (2022 IM Division President), Don Lessard (2022 Eminent Scholar), Rosalie Tung (2021 Eminent Scholar), Jaeyong Song (2021 IM Division President), and Anu Phene (2020 IM Division President).

Maria Teresa Fleury is a faculty member in International Management at FGV EAESP, a member and current president of the Academy of International Business, and director of the Center for International Competitiveness. She served as the director of FGV EAESP from 2008 to 2015. Additionally, she was a visiting researcher at the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom; at the Institute of Development Studies, University of Sussex, United Kingdom; the Institute of Developing Economies, Japan; and a visiting professor at ESSEC, France.
