Amazônia+10 Beef-focused Workshop
The Amazônia+10 workshop at FGV EAESP brought together researchers and stakeholders from across Brazil’s beef sector, including companies, NGOs, and policy actors, to discuss how sustainability governance in the Amazon is evolving under new regulatory, environmental, and market pressures.
The event combined the presentation of recent research findings with open dialogue on practical challenges such as traceability gaps, institutional capacity, and the implementation of due diligence systems. A presentation by Agrotools highlighted emerging technological approaches to monitoring supply chains, while the final session explored opportunities for collaborative pilot projects under the SASI Due Diligence Fund (DDF).
The workshop created a space for cross-sector exchange and helped identify priorities for future research and collaboration aimed at strengthening sustainable governance in the Amazon beef value chain.
