Retail and Consumer Forum 2023 discusses trends and innovations in the field.
The Center of Excellence in Retail at the School of Business Administration of São Paulo (FGV EAESP) is hosting the 2nd edition of the FGV Retail and Consumer Forum (FGVcev 2023). Open to the public, the event will take place on August 22nd and 23rd, starting at 8:30 AM, at the FGV 9 de Julho Noble Hall.
The objective of the forum is to bring together Brazilian retail C-level executives to discuss how to implement trends and innovations in retail companies. Furthermore, the event aims to explore new ways to optimize retail performance by applying strategies and tactics to sell more effectively and contribute to society, making retail companies better across all dimensions of business – human, processes and technology, strategic innovation, and communication and marketing.
The forum is organized into four dimensions: communication and marketing, processes and technology, human aspects, and strategic innovation, under the coordination of FGVcev professors and researchers Maurício Morgado, Henrique Campos Jr., Olegário Araújo, and Artur Motta, respectively.
Each dimension features the participation of three C-level executives who are leaders in their segments. They will share their day-to-day retail challenges and success stories. In the communication and marketing dimension, there will be the presence of Deiverson Migliatti, franchise owner and multi-franchisee of Sterna Café; João Baptista da Silva Junior, Director of Franchises and Expansion at Rei do Mate; and Rodolfo Antunes, Sales Representative at Rede Sol Supermercados.
In the processes and technology dimension, participants include Eduardo Souza, Digital Business Unit Director at Vissimo Group (Evino + Grand Cru); Marco Antonio Tenani, Senior Director of Planning and Distribution / Physical Stores / E-commerce at Grupo Carrefour Brasil; and Pedro Paulo Chiamulera, founder of ClearSale and CONFI (Chairman of the ClearSale Board).
In the human dimension, speakers will be Fábio Sant'anna, Director of People, Diversity, and Inclusion of the Brazil Division at Arcos Dourados; Julio Aoki, founder and Business Educator Leader of Santa Brands and Businesses; and Léo Carvalho, Head of Digital Learning at Leroy Merlin and Co-Founder of Onion Learning.
Lastly, in the strategic innovation dimension, participants will include Eduardo Palu de Córdova, CEO and Founder of Market4u; Estevan Sartoreli, Co-founder and Co-CEO of Dengo Chocolates; and Thaise Hagge, Founder and Managing Director of Compra Agora.
Following the event's motto, "bringing novelty to the air and making change happen," attendees will have the opportunity to assess their company through an online questionnaire during the event, evaluating their company's alignment with the four dimensions. Additionally, they will receive four guiding texts, one for each dimension, outlining what needs to be done to transform their company.
