FGV EAESP Opens Applications for FAPESP Postdoctoral Fellowship
FGV EAESP is accepting applications until August 10, 2026, for a FAPESP Postdoctoral Fellowship linked to the international research project Street-Level Bureaucrats in the Eye of the Populist Storm? Lessons from Municipal Transitions of Power.
The project is led by Professor Gabriela Lotta (FGV EAESP) and Professor Steven Van de Walle (KU Leuven) and investigates the relationships between politicians and street-level bureaucrats during municipal transitions of power in Brazil and Belgium.
The fellowship is open to candidates who hold a PhD in Social Sciences or a related field, have experience with qualitative research methods, and are fluent in both Portuguese and English. Applications are welcome from candidates of all nationalities.
Fellowship details
- Monthly stipend: R$ 12,570.00
- Research Contingency Fund: 10% of the annual fellowship amount
- Expected start date: Second half of 2026, subject to FAPESP approval
- Application deadline: August 10, 2026
