The São Paulo School of Business Administration at Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV EAESP) is accepting applications for one (1) FAPESP-funded postdoctoral fellowship linked to the project Decentralized Energy Communities for a Digital Economy - DECODE.

 

The position is associated with the following research project:

 

Decentralized Energy Communities for a Digital Economy - DECODE
Supervisor: Professor Eduardo Henrique Diniz
Focus: decentralized energy communities and tokenized digital economies, with an emphasis on the use of digital tokens to represent and quantify the value of local energy generation, reduced electricity consumption during peak hours, peer-to-peer energy trading, and energy storage.

 

The project will develop three pilots addressing challenges faced by two municipalities, in Norway and Portugal, and by a residential community in Brazil.

The FAPESP Postdoctoral Fellowship has an initial duration of 12 months, with the possibility of renewal for up to 36 months in total, in accordance with FAPESP rules, and requires full-time/exclusive dedication. Activities will be based on-site at FGV EAESP, in São Paulo, Brazil, with hybrid activities in João Pessoa, Brazil, as well as possible visits to the project’s international pilots.

Applicants of any nationality are welcome, provided they hold a PhD and have training and experience aligned with the topic of the position, in accordance with FAPESP’s rules for postdoctoral fellowships.

The selection process will consist of two stages:


(i) elimination - screening for eligibility and fit with the project;
(ii) ranking - merit-based document evaluation and interview.
