FGV and CEMS: International ceremony brings together more than 400 students in Rio de Janeiro.

For the first time in Latin America, Brazil will host the awarding ceremony for the Master of International Management (MIM) degree from CEMS – The Global Alliance in Management Education . On December 6th, at Marina da Glória in Rio de Janeiro, 416 students from various countries will receive their degrees after completing the program, which is conducted within a network that brings together 33 business schools from different countries and more than 70 partner companies .

The program, which takes place between December 3rd and 6th , includes meetings, plenary sessions, academic activities, visits to tourist attractions in Rio de Janeiro, and international networking opportunities between graduates, institutions, and corporate representatives. Hosted by FGV EAESP, the CEMS Annual Events 2025 is sponsored by Sanofi and L'Oréal , and features the CEMS Annual Meeting Dinner offered by ABB .

Founded with the purpose of fostering connections that transcend territorial boundaries, CEMS seeks to train managers prepared to operate in complex global environments. Its Master's in International Management is consistently ranked among the best MIM programs in the world. By 2025, more than 1,000 students will have completed the program across the network.

For Luiz Brito, director of FGV EAESP , the event symbolizes the strength of international academic collaboration:

“CEMS is proof of the power of global collaboration — where excellence, curiosity, and a shared commitment to positive impact converge. At FGV EAESP, this mission resonates deeply with our tradition of academic rigor, innovation, and international engagement. We maintain our commitment to preparing intellectually agile leaders capable of navigating the complexities of a constantly evolving world. Our graduates embody the spirit of FGV EAESP and CEMS: collaborating across borders, cultures, and sectors, and using diverse perspectives to address global challenges with clarity, creativity, and responsibility.”
