Study of municipal education in cities implementing the PVE program

The Votorantim Partnership for Education Program (PVE) works on management practices and the social mobilization of communities through training activities that seek to develop skills related to two dimensions (management and social mobilization), including experiences that involve reflection and research.

The PVE is made up of three axes: educational management, school management and social mobilization. The research seeks to understand the dimensions of the management of municipal education departments and schools that explain the results in municipalities that implement the PVE.

The research made theoretical contributions to the discussion on educational and school management in Brazilian municipalities through the preparation of two academic articles. The research also helped the Votorantim Institute to improve its actions through PVE, which will have an impact on education management in the municipalities where it operates.

O Programa Parceria Votorantim pela Educação (PVE) atua sobre as práticas de gestão e a mobilização social de comunidades a partir de ações formativas que buscam desenvolver competências relacionadas a duas dimensões (gestão e mobilização social), incluindo experiências que envolvam reflexão e investigação.

O PVE é composto por três eixos: gestão educacional, gestão escolar e mobilização social. A pesquisa busca compreender as dimensões da gestão das Secretarias Municipais de Educação e das escolas que explicam os resultados nos municípios que implementam o PVE.

A pesquisa deu contribuições teóricas para a discussão sobre gestão educacional e escolar nos municípios brasileiros a partir da elaboração de dois artigos acadêmicos. A pesquisa também contribuiu para que o Instituto Votorantim aperfeiçoe as suas ações por meio do PVE, o que impactará a gestão de educação nos municípios em que atua.
