Information technology is playing an increasingly strategic role in modern organizations, both as a means of improving business processes and as an opportunity to redefine scope and innovate business models.
Many emerging opportunities are favored or even enabled by IT, but administrators need to be prepared to recognize them, anticipate them and take advantage of them in order to guarantee business competitiveness and the results sought by organizations and new ventures.
The central objective of this course is to learn about and discuss the different business models brought about by the increasingly intensive use of IT, while also analyzing the implications of these innovations for business competitiveness and for society.
