Servitization, technology, digitalization and new business models are revolutionizing current concepts of operations and supply chain management. The speed of change is not only rapid, but the returns and evolution are surprising. It is clear that the current configuration of supply chains is temporary. Some tend to remain in place for some time yet, while others are already facing significant structural changes. Consequently, social and cultural pressures have also significantly influenced the dynamics and configuration of supply chains.
This course aims to explore in depth how the executive can analyze, identify signs and trends of change and consequently be the forerunner in readjusting and reframing the supply chain, by engaging and mobilizing different players. To this end, based on discussions and recent experiences of chains that have undergone a complete readjustment, topics will be explored such as the influence of technology, Industry 4.0, changes and challenges arising from the external environment, the development of strategies for responding to change, as well as the development of skills for accommodating change. The course aims to introduce discussion and reflection on the subject and is not intended to exhaust the possible approaches.
