The Center for Studies on Infrastructure and Environmental Solutions of the School of Business Administration of São Paulo (FGV EAESP) promotes a webinar with the theme "Sanitation is health: evidence and effects on tax reform". Open to the public, the event will be held on June 20, at 10 a.m., on FGV's YouTube channel.

It will have the participation of Cassio Bessaria, president of ANPEC (National Association of Graduate Centers in Economics) and professor at UFPB (Federal University of Paraíba); and moderation by Professor Gesner Oliveira, coordinator of FGV's Center for Infrastructure & Environmental Solutions Studies.

Currently, there are more than 2 million deaths per year caused by poor sanitary conditions, involving unsafe water for human consumption, inadequate sanitation and insufficient hygiene. On the issue of sanitation and public health, there is a direct relationship between improvements in infrastructure, increased quality of life, reduction of waterborne diseases, infant mortality, among other factors. The relationship between these aspects and the impacts on tax reform will be some of the topics discussed in this webinar.
