Meeting addresses contributions and improvements to the health of Brazilians

29.05.2024

The São Paulo School of Business Administration (FGV EAESP) holds the FGVsaúde Debates, with the theme: how it is possible to contribute to Brazilians being healthier. Open to the public, the event will be held on June 7, at 4 p.m., in São Paulo.

Studies have shown that Brazil faces the challenge of chronic non-communicable conditions in parallel with several infectious diseases. Population surveys show that the country has not improved its indicators of risk and protective factors for chronic conditions and still faces challenges in the organization of the health system in the search for better outcomes. Addressing the social and economic determinants of health is key to a sustainable change in indicators.

On the occasion, the 5th volume of the FGVsaúde collection, edited by Editora Atheneu, will be launched, with the title "Population Health. Management and Sustainability for the Brazilian scenario".

Attendees of this event will receive a copy of the newly released work.

The speakers will be Adriano Massuda, professor at FGV EAESP and secretary of Specialized Care at the Ministry of Health, and Paulo Andrade Tufo, full professor at the School of Medicine of the University of São Paulo. The moderation will be in charge of Alberto Ogata, associate researcher at FGVsaúde and professor at MPGC at FGV EAESP.
