Dual Degree with Yale Expands Global Opportunities for Master’s Students in Brazil

Students in the Professional Master’s in International Management (MPGI) program at the São Paulo School of Business Administration (FGV EAESP) have the opportunity to earn a dual degree with the Yale University School of Management in the United States. The partnership allows students to complete the first year in Brazil and the second year at Yale, with a diploma issued by both institutions — a strategic combination for careers with global reach.
The selection process is competitive, but candidates can count on the direct support of the MPGI team and the FGV Global Affairs Office, which offer comprehensive consulting throughout the process. Successful candidates enter Yale's MMS: GBS program, which offers training focused on the international environment and a focus on global business.
Fernando Morey Perez, a graduate of the program, emphasizes that the experience goes beyond the classroom. After graduating, he was hired by an American university: “The training prepared me for real challenges and allowed me to work in the US for up to three years without the need for sponsorship,” he says.
Another example is Nuno Li, a Chinese student about to embark on Yale. He was looking for a bridge between emerging markets and highlighted the difference FGV offers: “The combination with Yale represents a strategic key to my career. It is a deep and data-driven education.”
Lukas Tarnow, a Brazilian who graduated in Germany, also sees value in the program’s practical experience and multicultural environment: “FGV gave me exposure to real problems. Yale complements it with academic freedom and hospitality. I’m ready for this new stage.”
The journey requires dedication and a long-term vision, but the return is robust: excellent training, international networking and a solid foundation for careers in global organizations.
