The Brazilian economy is an object of concern in the face of the financial crisis caused by the new coronavirus pandemic. The most optimistic projections see a partial recovery of the economy in September this year. That is if Brazil is in a scenario of control of Covid-19, a gradual resumption of economic activities and the adoption of assertive economic policies.

The recovery of the economy is related to the time that social isolation will be necessary. If it remains until the end of June, the expectation is a drop of 1.8% in the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), which represents the sum of all the country's wealth.

Given this forecast, is there a way for the Brazilian economy to grow again? The subject will be discussed during the 17th FGV EAESP Economy Forum, on November 16 and 17.
