Online event presents results of the 2024 cycle of the Brazilian GHG Protocol Program

The Center for Sustainability Studies (FGVces) at the São Paulo School of Business Administration (FGV EAESP) will present the results of the 2024 cycle of the Brazilian GHG Protocol Program. The meeting will take place on August 21 and will be broadcast on FGV's YouTube channel.

In addition to the full disclosure of all figures for the period, the results of a survey that investigated the motivations, challenges and ambitions of participating organizations in relation to the management of greenhouse gas emissions will be shared.

In the second part of the event, there will be a presentation of learning cases and good practices by the Program members. In this section, 12 companies from a wide range of sectors will address the following topics: Operations in the value chain (Scope 3); Corporate governance for emissions management; Advances in emissions calculation; and Automation of data collection.

The Program

The Brazilian GHG Protocol Program (PBGHG) is responsible for adapting the GHG Protocol method to the Brazilian context and for developing calculation tools for estimating corporate greenhouse gas emissions.

Its main objective is to stimulate a corporate culture of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions inventory in Brazil, providing participants with access to international quality instruments and standards for accounting for emissions and publishing inventories in the Public Emissions Registry. The PBGHG also works to train member organizations to prepare organizational GHG inventories, offering training on the GHG Protocol method.
