Accelerated innovation broadens the debate on the security and governance of artificial intelligence.
The Corporate Innovation track of the Professional Master's Program in Management for Competitiveness at FGV EAESP hosted a meeting with market and academic experts to discuss the challenges and opportunities of artificial intelligence in building competitive advantage, with a focus on security and governance.
Adolfo Abreu, Customer Engineering Leader for Startups at Google Cloud Brazil, emphasized that the starting point for using AI should be a clear definition of the business problem. According to him, understanding the real demands and starting with the basics already allows for generating impact, without the pressure of mastering all technologies immediately.
Mateus Pierre, R&D Director at Instituto Eldorado, highlighted that incorporating AI into the daily operations of organizations is crucial for competitiveness, provided it is accompanied by security structures, governance, and regulatory alignment. He also warned of risks such as data leaks, flawed decisions, and AI-orchestrated attacks.
The event also showcased preliminary research from master's students on innovation, AI, startups, and corporations, reinforcing the importance of training leaders capable of implementing and governing emerging technologies responsibly.
