This policy brief was developed to inform discussions on sustainable beef cattle at COP30, to be held in Belém in November 2025. It is part of the research project “Innovation for Creating Sustainable Value: Understanding Global Value Chains in the Amazon,” under the Amazônia+10 program, supported by FAPESP and coordinated by FGV EAESP – FGV Earth. The document provides evidence-based insights and policy recommendations to strengthen traceability, productive inclusion, and socio-environmental governance in Brazil’s beef sector—contributing to a fair, competitive, and sustainable transition.
