SIMPOI – International Production, Logistics and Operations Management Symposium

SIMPOI is recognized as a forum for debate and articulation between professors, researchers, students, businesspeople and professionals in the area of Production and Operations Management in Brazil. Among the main objectives of the event are: exchanging and sharing academic information, demonstrating and promoting recent research and discoveries in the area of production and operations and strengthening the relationship between academia and professionals in the area of production and operations.

The scientific world needs this kind of event to develop scientific production.

In events like SIMPOI, research, when exposed and discussed with peers, may receive criticism and suggestions or even be compared to others, evolving in the process to build scientific knowledge.

SIMPOI’s conception contributes towards that in one essential aspect-it maintains academic rigor, also seeking to involve the business community through specific lectures and testimonials of corporate experiences. This interaction benefits researchers who are stimulated to develop more relevant topics that can effectively contribute to the Brazilian context. (
