Center for Finance Studies (GVcef)

The main objectives of the CEF are to produce knowledge through research, promote the FGV/EAESP name by distributing the results of said research, promote professor and student engagement and hold lectures and meetings to disseminate new knowledge and practices.

Our goal is to become benchmark in the following areas: financial markets, corporate finance and emerging markets.


Our team develops academic articles and rankings for magazines, conferences, journals and other renown publications in Brazil and abroad.

The main rankings are the Exame Magazine Funds Guide, the Funds Guide and Pension Fund Guide of the Você S/A magazine, the Valor 1000 Guide, among others, such as the 500 Largest Brazilian Companies, Insurers and Financial Conglomerates for the Economic Scenario Magazine, which is published by the Brazilian Economics Institute at FGV.
