Maria Cecília de Alvarenga Carvalho

Doctor of Law from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) and a Master in Social Sciences from the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais (PUC Minas). She holds a degree in Law from PUC Minas and a degree in History from UFMG.Since 2023, she has been working as a researcher at FGVCes on topics related to the protection of Human Rights in companies and production chains, with an emphasis on Human Rights Due Diligence, Decent Work, and diversity, equity, and inclusion. Previously, she was a researcher at the Center for Human Rights and Business at FGV-SP. She has interdisciplinary academic and professional experience in applied social sciences and humanities, primarily working in the fields of human rights, disasters, memorial justice, memory, and testimony.
