João Alberto De Negri

João Alberto De Negri is professor and researcher at Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV-EAESP). He is PHD by University of Brasília (2003) and Master Degree by University of Minas Gerais State (1996) on Economics. He started his career as a researcher of Institute of Applied Economic Research (IPEA) in 1996 and was the Director and Vice-President of IPEA from 2005 to 2007. He was Vice Minister of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI) in 2014 and Member of Executive Board of FINEP from 2008 to 2010 and was Director of Innovation of FINEP in 2011-2013 and 2015. He coordinated and published several studies about Brazilian industry with focus on the technology innovation. Member of Executive Board of BNDES from 2014 to 2016. He took part actively in the preparation of the Brazilian Policy on Foreign Trade (PITCE) in 2003 and of the Inova Empresa Program. He was a consultant of the World Bank (WB) and the Inter American Development Bank (IADB). He coordinated research projects to the Brazilian Agency for the Industrial Development (ABDI), Agency for Export Promotion (APEX) and also coordinated the evaluation of the National Fund of Scientific and Technological Development (FNDCT) of the MCTI. He is an expert in Economics with focus on industry, technology innovation, companies and trade integration.
