  • TRADITIONAL AND AGEOUS PROJECT MANAGEMENT

The role of projects in companies is receiving increasing attention, as it is one of the main tools to implement and accomplish strategic goals. In this course we will approach a theoretical and practical vision of project management, both in its traditional form and in its agile methodologies. The course will approach a practical system, where the student will participate in several activities related to the creation and management of projects, envisioning the challenges encountered, either when complete planning is possible from the beginning, or even when the final product is not well defined.

  • INNOVATION AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

The course starts from the recognition that organizations are largely responsible for sustainable development. Meeting current needs without compromising the future requires new management and business models, such as mental. • BUSINESS SIMULATION GAMES DYNAMICS

The course presents concepts of management, decision making, and data analysis using two simulation games. The context of game dynamics allows the student to understand competition and its decisions, as complex and adaptive systems that are extremely difficult to predict, but subject to monitoring and management. Initially students will analyze the allocation of resources, the construction of experiments, and how to increase the marginal return of marketing activities in the context of non-durable consumer goods (B2C market). And later students will analyze the logic of customer centricity in the context of industrial sales (B2B market), evaluating a market with individual consumers with specific attributes, learning to discern which are the best customers, how long their relationship with the company is expected to last, and how to leverage that relationship to create a winning strategy.

  • ENTREPRENEURSHIP: MENTALITY AND PRACTICE

Entrepreneurship has been narrowly defined as creating a business, with little attention to the individuals (entrepreneurs of all types) who have a mindset, skills, and tools to change and improve the world by making a difference in their lives and the lives of others.  This course is designed with the mindset that we are living in an entrepreneurial generation, where the student must be comfortable with creating and testing new ideas, be able to navigate environments of uncertainty, act to learn, and not learn to act. To this end, the course will encourage the student to think and act more entrepreneurially in practice.
